Mann Family Reunion 2010

Adri and Trent were in charge this year and we went to a campground by Zion National Park, and to sum it up I would say it was a BLAST! We had a total of 16 grand kids, 10 adults (Mak couldn't make it, we definitely missed him!) and my Grandparents came up Thursday and spent the evening and Friday with us, which was such a treat!!

Just to recap what we did: Thursday we got there and set up camp, Friday morning we just let the kids run around and have fun, and then headed to a place that had some old looking buildings and things and took some family pictures. When we got back to camp we went swimming at the camp pool, so refreshing! The kids had a blast and some of them participated in some chicken fighting (you will have to check out the pictures to see them!). Then we went back to camp, ate dinner, made tye dye shirts for the kids (thanks Jenn and Nate), ate some yummy dutch oven desserts and sang songs around the camp fire! Saturday we headed into Zion and did some of the hikes, and it was a blast! Gorgeous scenery, being with family and just enjoying the day! Most of us went back to camp, Tyler went on a hike by himself, and Nate took Ethan, Kate and Haden with him on another hike. While waiting for them to get back we swam and let the kids run around. Haden had a blast and was so happy to have gone (Thank you Nate for taking him). I was worried he was going to whine or complain, but Nate said he did good and when he did complain he would say it in a joking way :) Nate told me a little story about Haden on the hike... there were signs where it had a footprint with a red circle and line through it letting you know to not walk on that part of the trail. Well there was a part on the hike where it had just a footprint letting you know to walk there, when they started to walk Haden made the comment that they weren't suppose to because it had the sign. So Nate explained to him that it was okay to, and Kate said because there wasn't a red slice through it. Haden responded with 'I wish I knew how to speak spanish'! Umm...Yeah that still wouldn't help him with understanding the signs, but he seems to think so :) After they got back from the hikes we ate, and then had our 2nd Annual Toughest Dad's Competition...Congrats to Tyler for taking home the title and the fish this year! Then we roasted marshmallows, and had a devotional by my parents which was great! We ended the night with putting the kids to sleep and my Mom, Nate, Dana, Adri, Trent, Jeff and I all staying up until like midnight talking. It was a lot of fun! Sunday we packed up, said goodbye to Dana, Tyler and their family and then all headed home. We ate tons of yummy food, thanks to everyone for their meals! It was such a fun weekend! Thank you to our families who helped make it possible for us to go (you know who you are), we can't even begin to express how much we appreciate it!! Thanks to Adri and Trent for putting on such a successful and fun weekend!

Here are some group pictures we took:

Houston, We Have........

WALKING!!

And not just the few steps here and there! It is out and out Walking!! He is walking all over the place, from room to room. He stands up in the middle of the floor if he falls and continues to walk. He picks things up from the floor and doesn't always fall over. Our baby boy is getting big and it is breaking my heart! But at the same time so fun to watch him be so proud as he walks! He likes to tease me and not walk when I am videoing and act like he doesn't know what he is doing. So I have some videos but they aren't his best, as his best is when he knows I don't have a camera :) And they were taken with my phone so the quality isn't great either, sorry! But Kahle is cute so that helps! So enjoy.....

Some of this and a little of that.....

Just some random pictures that I didn't post between all the birthday posts I have been doing...
Man he is one good looking kid!
She likes her flowers and bows just a little bit :)
One morning this is where we found Delaney, I don't think she had even eaten breakfast yet, lol!
Isn't he a cutie?! He is walking more and more, all in his own time!
Hanging out and just being adorable!
She is one that loves her picture taken!
And is just so pretty!!!

Some of the funny comments we have heard:

Coleman likes blue 'gatoregg'. We tried correcting him and letting him know it is Gatorade, but he tells us we are wrong :)

I was telling the kids to clean up as quickly as possible. Coleman asked 'popsicles?' I said no, possible! Then I was asking him to pick up some socks and he said 'as quickly as a popsicle?'
Talking to Haden about video games and he made the comment 'They didn't have video games in the 90's!'

Grant and his Birthday..........

The night before I asked Grant when he wanted his presents, he quickly replied he wanted them after school, when Haden got home. So that was the plan.....Well that morning as soon as we were awake he was asking if he could get his presents. So we got them ready for school and he got his presents in time to play with them for a bit.
He got to take bags with candy in them for the kids in his class, and loved the day being about him! He picked waffles for breakfast and lunchables for lunch and then pizza for dinner. He is our one child who doesn't speak up much about what he wants, he just goes along with the others. But when it came down to getting his opinion on what he wants, he definitely did have one! He wanted black and dark green streamers for decoration, he wanted black and white candles, and when he got to pick out the ice cream to go with his cake he picked drumsticks instead :) It was fun to see him make those decisions and not turn to his brothers for what they want!
In his new outfit waiting for the grandparents to arrive! He is one handsome kid!
Grandpa Bob helping him open his presents!
Grant picked a yoshi cake (from Mario Brothers) and Jeff did an awesome job (once again)!
I don't think he looked up once while we were singing to him (something I would do, lol)
After cake and drumsticks :) he played for a bit more and then my parents took him for his date where he spent the night at their house. He got to go to the store and pick out his present and hang out with my parents!
My parenst were kind enough to send me pictures :) Here he is shopping!
And playing with his toys!
He is our one child who loves to go do things, but at the same time misses us like crazy! He started to cry as they left, but definitely wanted to still go. He had a blast!! Love this kid, and we look forward to a fun year with him!!

LOADS of Pictures......Kahle's Birthday

Kahle LOVES balloons and balls, so for his birthday we blew up quite a few balloons! He LOVED it!
I think all the kids did :)
Playing with his new trucks!
The kids showing him his presents!
This made him a little nervous, he didn't want to even touch it! Now he knocks it down and kicks it :)
Can you believe he is ONE?! I still can't, I think I'm in denial :) But I do have to say that he is too dang cute!
A friend of mine, Leslie, made this cute shirt with the number one on it!
On the invite for Kahle's party I said to bring your suit....however I was meaning swimsuits, but obviously my Dad thought I mean his suit! Oh how I love my Dad!!
We were going to go to the park and play on the splash pad, but when we got there it was packed! There was some event going on or something and so we decided to just head back home and play there.
Kahle and Lacy (who is just shy of 2 weeks younger than Kahle) playing together!
Playing with presents! And getting help from the big kids :)
Little Mother's in training :)
Sometimes the box is just as fun!
He pushes this around without a problem, and loves it!
Delaney and Lily took a liking to the other's baby, Lily kept rubbing Kahles back or kissing him on the cheek.
Delaney and Lacy being so sweet with eachother!
They have a lot of fun together, these two!!
Papa Dan put up a new fan that has lights! He had MANY helpers :)
Even bigger boys like playing with boxes ;)
My amazingly talented husby.....Decorating Kahle's cake!
An adorable fire hydrant :)
He seems rather amused by our singing....LOL!
I don't think he knew what to think, he just stared!
The cake..........and it took him a minute, he just kept touching it.
And then he realized what it was and went for it!
I think he's enjoying it!
YUMMY!
Total poser! He is just to adorable!!

Thanks to the family that could be there and help us celebrate!!! We had a LOT of fun!
