Fun with Friends!

Today we got to have a friend of mine, Kitty, and her family stop by on there way to Utah, they live in California. I have gotten to know Kitty from a message board (one were all the kids were due in May, so Cole and her daughter Hannah are the same age) we both post on, and she is such an awesome person, she is as sweet in person as she is online! It was so fun to be able to talk to her, and to meet her cute family. Her husband, Pat, is such a nice guy, and her kids, Jack and Hannah, are so adorable! The kids had lots of fun!!! Jack jumped right in with Haden and Grant and they had a blast. Cole and Hannah played with each other, and Hannah was so cute with Delaney! Hannah loved Delaney and it was fun to watch them interact! Kitty it was so fun and you are more than welcome to stop by anytime you want! Our kids had so much fun and are still talking about it :) I am grateful for the friendship I have with Kitty and that our kids have developed. Thanks again for coming!! Here are the pictures I took while they were here........

Car Ride Conversation..........

So on Sunday we were driving out to my parents and Jeff and I hear Haden and Grant talking. They had the cutest conversation and I wanted to 1~write it down and 2~share it with others :)

Haden: Grant when I get older I am going to get married
Grant: That is disgusting!
Haden: It's not disgusting, it's what you do when you get older. You get married.
Grant: That's disgusting!
Haden: Grant you get married to a girl when you get older, it isn't disgusting.
Grant: Girls are disgusting Haden.
Haden: You get married and you kiss a girl, it's not disgusting, don't you want to kiss a girl?
Grant: NO! Kissing is disgusting!
Haden: Only kissing bad girls is disgusting, but if you married someone like Mom that isn't disgusting.
Grant: Kissing is disgusting!
Haden: Bad girls' breathe is disgusting, but good girls' isn't. So kissing a good girl isn't disgusting. You kiss Mom and that's not disgusting.
Grant: Girls are disgusting!

Jeff and I just laughed! It was too funny to listen to and hear them go back and forth. And NO matter what Haden said, it did NOT change what Grant thought of kissing girls and getting married. And he can keep thinking that until he has served a mission :)

More Swimming, WOOHOO!!!

Today we had to head out across town to pick up Jeff's truck and so I figured while we did that we would make the trip worth our while and go visit my sister. So I called and she told me to bring our swimsuits. They got the code to the pool at an apartment complex from some people in their ward, and it is a fun pool. It has a whole section that is super shallow, shallow enough Delaney could crawl around in it and not worry about choking. So we went and had LOTS of fun. We are actually getting tan, which will be nice when we head to the beach next week, I cannot wait!! It will be all of my family, including Dana and her cute family, who are driving in, so we will all be together from Wednesday through Sunday!! WOOHOO!!! This time I remembered to get pictures of them swimming, I really wanted to get some of Delaney and Lily together, so I am glad that I did :) So here they are (there are a few that aren't swimming ones)!

Swimming Fun

Yesterday was a swimming filled day, and it was a blast! In the morning we went over and met up with Adri, Jack and Lily at my parent's house to go swimming. Jeff had an eye appt. so it was Adri and I watching 6 kids, ages 5 and under, :) It was lots of fun and went very smooth. I am mad because I forgot to get my camera out while we had all those little kids in the pool. Then we got out and had lunch and then Adri took her cute kids home and we laid our kids down for naps there at my parents house. Once they woke up we went swimming again! This time Delaney was not a happy camper, she was hungry, and so we got out and sat by the pool, watching everyone else swim, while she had a snack! We are SO grateful my parents have a pool that we can use any time in the heat! It is so hot and it is nice to be able to cool off from time to time! Here are the pictures I did get of the kids later on swimming.

Swimming Lessons :)

Today was the boys' last day of swimming lessons and they have loved every minute of it! I took TONS of pictures, so you can all enjoy :) I am amazed at the difference in each of them and what they can do in the water! Haden has gained his confidence back and is swimming a ton. He still gets a bit nervous in the deep end, but I know it won't be too long before he has no fear again! Grant used to get out within 5 minutes of getting in the water and he would sit in a chair the entire time we were out there. He now swims and is an absolute fish! He doesn't leave the shallow end but gets around like crazy. Cole LOVES the water! He wants to be like his brothers and it is too funny! Thanks Mom for taking the time to teach my kids! They have loved it and learned so much! We love you!!! We also went swimming after my Mom finished her lessons and the kids all had a blast! I mean we need to get tanned before going to the beach, right?! :) I didn't take pictures but we are going again tomorrow with my sister, Adri and her kids, so I will take pictures tomorrow! Otherwise here are these ones for your enjoyment!

So I haven't taken snapshots of the kids lately, and so I decided to. I also got a couple of videos of Delaney doing funny things. Here they are, hope you enjoy them!

Delaney wanted to say Hi! She has started to wave, but waves with both hands. It totally cracks us up, so I wanted to share it with all of you :)

Delaney has taught herself how to slide off the ottoman! And I caught her on camera doing it, she was so proud of herself!

Delaney has started smacking her lips, and it makes us laugh so hard. Here is another video of her!

Here are the pictures! Enjoy!!

Just for fun!

The Sickness Continues~

Well so yesterday I ended up getting super sick as well, and so none of us went to church. I feel bad, Jeff was going to go and got sick just shortly before church started. So they had to find people to fill in for us, they had the scouts return from a scout camp and so they ended up with them filling in. The Counselor said they may use us next month to talk, so we will see. Poor Delaney has been still battling with it, and I have today as well. All the boys are doing good, and I am actually feeling a million times better than I was last night or even this morning. Jeff had me take a nap and I slept for 2 1/2 hours, and I think that helped me. I also feel so bad, we passed this on to some of the family and friends we hung out with on Friday and part of the day on Saturday. I mean not like we knew we were going to be sick, but I still feel bad and I hope and pray they all get better quickly! Good think is it doesn't last too long before you are feeling better.

ACK!!

Cole woke up throwing up and just before church Jeff started. I am feeling a bit queasy and feel it is only a matter of time before it happens. Praying the rest of the kids are done having it. I hate the when everyone gets sick, and not a good time for it, on Father's Day :(
Happy Father's Day to all the Wonderful Father's that I know!!!
I saw this poem and LOVED it! And wanted to share it with all of you!
Walk with me daddy Author: unknown
Walk alongside me, daddy
and hold my little hand.
I have so many things to learn
that I don't yet understand.
Teach me things to keep me safe
from dangers every day.
Show me how to do my best
at home, at school, at play.
Every child needs a gentle hand
to guide them as they grow.
So walk alongside me, daddy -
We have a long way to go.

Jeff is such an amazing Dad and he has 3 little boys who look up to him and love him dearly! He has a little girl who is falling for her Daddy and only in time will have him doing everything for her :) I am so grateful for Jeff and for who he is and has become! Having 4 kids 5 years old and younger makes you grow and change in ways you didn't know you needed to. Jeff has adjusted to this role of being a Dad of 4 young kids extremely well. He is so cute with them! I love watching him with the kids and also to watch the kids when Jeff walks in the door. It is so fun! Thanks for being such an awesome Dad! We love you so much!!

I also want to wish my Daddy a Happy Father's Day! I am so grateful for my Dad, for the wonderful example he is to me, and my family! He is truly a light in my life and I love him dearly! I am so grateful for the friendship I have with him and the role he plays in my life. It means the world to me to have such an amazing Dad! I love you Papa Bear :)

I hope you all have a wonderful Father's Day!!! Here is a video we made for Jeff for Father's Day! Just click on the 'Happy Father's Day' Link to view it:

Cousins, Fun and Sickness....UGH!

We had the chance to spend all day over at Jeff's Mom, Trudy's house. Jeff's brother Dave and his daughter Addison came into town and also brought some friends, Cherie, Blake and Brayden, with them. So the kids got to spend time with almost all of their cousins on that side (we missed you Brier and are looking forward to seeing you at the end of the month). We got to play and have fun together, we went to the park and played in the water part of it, and then on the toys. We just had lots of fun! I forgot my camera (UGH!) and so these are off of our cell phones. The picture on the top right is of Grant, Cameron, Haden and Josh all watching a movie together. The picture on the top left is Haden and Brayden playing together. The picture to the left is Cole and Addison playing together, it was so cute to watch the two of them.

We went over for a bit today but decided to come home and get our house cleaned up and finish writing our talks (Jeff and I were asked to talk in Sacrament tomorrow). Well on the way home Grant and Haden started to throw up. Then once we got home Delaney started to as well. They have got some sort of the flu bug and it breaks my heart. Especially to see little Laney be so sad about it, I am hoping and praying they are better tomorrow. We have decided that one of us will have to skip talking tomorrow and stay home with the kids, because I don't want to pass this on to anyone else! Jeff has decided he will go talk and I will stay home, I am so sad, because it is Father's Day and we are suppose to be with him. But what can we do?! So once again praying for healthy kids :(

Grant's Birthday Dinner!

Tonight we had Grant's Birthday dinner with the grandparents. Jim and Karen could only stop by for a bit, but the kids enjoyed seeing them! Then we had Trudy and Bob as well as Dan, Sandee and Mak over for dinner, cake and ice cream. The kids were spoiled by everyone, thank you all so much! We love you and appreciate all that you do for us! I have some pictures of his birthday with just us and then some of tonight. I feel dumb because I unplugged my camera before all the pictures were uploaded and then deleted them before I realized what happened. So I only have a few from tonight, but they are still cute :)

I realized a lot of people are wondering what our set back may be, and I really didn't want to talk about it for a bit, but I know that everything is going to work out. Jeff lost his job last week, it was unexpected and a complete shock. We are putting in resumes and praying that something better comes a long. It is going to work out and be okay and we just have to trust in our Heavenly Father. Have faith that he will be there for us and help us provide for our family. I am so grateful for this gospel and for the knowledge I have that helps me to get through times like these! So please just pray for us, we would so appreciate it!

Love you all!! Here are the pictures:

Best Buds!

Cole and Delaney have become great buds, and I know that this is only a glimpse of the years to come. They are often off playing with each other, or Cole is helping Laney out. It melts my heart to see him be such a great brother to her. And to see their friendship forming, like they are just picking up where they left off in Heaven. It is so sweet and so tender! The picture on the left is the other day, when they sat and read books together. They would look through them by themselves and then Cole would turn and look through one with Delaney. She smiles so big when her brothers walk in the room and they totally make her day. I love this other picture of Delaney. It shows her cute personality and she is totally happy and content lately. She laughs at herself constantly and is so much fun to have around. In so many ways she reminds me of Cole, not as crazy :), but she definitely has a love for life and those around her.

Lately things in our life have set us back a bit and we are dealing with a few things. And through these times, as much as I want to be angry and wonder why we have to deal with it, I am reminded to have faith! That things work out and it will all be okay! I feel like in my life I have had plenty trials of faith, but it keeps me strong. It helps me to put complete trust in my Heavenly Father, because it sometimes isn't as strong as it should be. It makes me take a look at my family and love and appreciate them so much. I have a wonderful husband who I love dearly! I have 4 amazing kids who can put a smile on my face anytime of the day (even at 6:45 am when they wake me up and need me to help them make their transformer into a car or truck). I LOVE being a wife and a mom!

Sick Again!

Well Saturday afternoon/night Grant started to run a fever and just was not feeling well. He was doing good Saturday morning for our Primary activity (which was a blast! The kids had so much fun and we have a great Primary presidency for putting such a fun thing together). He was wheezing and just not himself. We have done a few breathing treatments and him and I stayed home from church today. Jeff took the other 3, even though I thought he was crazy for taking Delaney too. It was all his choice, I am sure a few people in our ward thought I was a pain for not keeping her :) But Grant slept the entire time they were gone and woke up just after they got home. Which was so good, he needed that extra sleep, and seemed to be doing a bit better once he woke up. So hopefully tomorrow he will be better than today! He needs to get better, we don't need any more sickies on their birthdays! This is how he was most of the day, cuddled up on a blanket hanging out on the couch. He kept trying to go to church by telling me he felt better, he didn't want to miss out. I love that he loves church that much that he wants to be there!

Here are some picture of Delaney in her bath, you can click on them to make them bigger. She absolutely LOVES bath time and if she hears the water running she gets excited and wants to get in right away. She loves to stick her face in the running water (we of course are there watching her) and she also kisses her reflection, but wouldn't do it for me to take a picture, of course. But I still got this one and thought it was cute!

Here she is cheesing away! She loves to be in the water and can play in there for quite a long time. She is getting so much personality and is so fun to be around. She totally thinks she is funny all the time and laughs all day long. Whether it is at herself (which a lot of the time it is) or at her brothers, she just laughs!
