Yet another ENT follow-up

On Tuesday, Haden had another ENT follow-up. Last time we went, his ear was looking great, but we were doing more drops and going back just to be sure.
So 3 weeks after his last appt., we were back at the ENT with hope that everything was looking good.

Turns out he has some inflammation in his ear canal. It's not totally infected, or anything, but it is the beginnings of it. All we can figure is somehow water is getting in during showers and it is causing it. So he gave us putty to plug his ear and he has been advised to take as short of shower as possible. Everything else looks amazing and it's all just in the canal. So that's good! We go back in 3 weeks to have it looked at again.

I am grateful for an ENT that I trust and know has Haden's best interest. He wants to be sure we are ahead of the game instead of waiting for it to become completely infected again.

We hoping this helps and we can go longer in between our appts and not this every 3 weeks nonsense.

New year, new church classes!

Each new year, brings new teachers and classes for the kids. This year was no different, and the kids were excited!

They were dressed and ready early for church.
We also had a new start time for church, instead of 9:00 am, we now go at 11:00 am.

Haden is no long in Primary!
He attends Sunday School with the older kids/teens in the ward. He likes it a lot!
And then he goes to Young Mens, which he is loving!

Delaney is with the kids turning 8 this year...ack.
Can this girl really be turning 8 this year?! Yeah I'm in denial about that one! She is also now in Senior Primary!

Grant will be turning 11, really 11?!.
Hard to believe he is almost done with Cubscouts and will be moving on to 11 year old Scouts!

Coleman is turning 9.
He is loving his teachers and has been praying to understand what he is learning better.

Kahle will be 6 this year, who told him that was okay?!!!
He loves church and is so quiet and shy, you wouldn't believe it :)

It's always fun, scary, exciting and makes them nervous. But once they know what the changes are, they get super excited!
I love how much they are loving church!!

My Wish for You....

To my 5 amazing children, here are my wishes for each one of you!

For Haden:
I wish for you to grow and learn so much about who you are! I wish for you to continue in your confidence in yourself and to love who you are. I wish that you can keep being the spiritual giant that you are, and the example you are to those around you. I wish for you to trust yourself, and where you want your life to take you. I wish for you to reach out to others and start the friendships you are looking for. I look forward to looking back on this year and seeing the growth in your faith, testimony, confidence, and being you!

For Grant:
I wish for you to strive to be the best you, that you can be! I wish for you to see how much your siblings look up to you, set the example for them. I wish for you to strive to push yourself and do things that are out of your comfort zone. I wish for you to trust yourself, be sure of who you are, what you stand for and show those around you. I wish for you to be happy with life, with where you are at right now, and what you have going on in your life. I am proud of who you are and look forward to seeing who you become after this year!

For Coleman:
I wish for you to continue finding your voice, and making yourself heard. I wish for you to stand up for yourself and to do it with a kind heart, but be strong. I wish for you to continue to strengthen your friendships with your brothers and sister. I wish for your knowledge to continue to grow and expand and that you can find things that make you excited to learn. I wish for you to continue to make people smile, laugh and feel loved. You have a way of doing it and I hope you never stop! I look forward to seeing you grow, mature and be yourself this year!

For Delaney:
I wish for you to be strong in who you are! To not let others change who you are, what you know is right and how well you think of others. Reach out to those who are needing friends, and love everyone. I wish for you to be confident in yourself, in your friendships, in your schooling and at church. You are a bright star, shine for others. I wish for you to continue to love life, and everything around you, I wish for you to keep being a girly girl and loving to hang with your brothers. I wish for you to smile, love and be loved. I can't wait to see the changes you make this year, it's so exciting!

For Kahle:
I wish for you to keep your love of learning and sharing your knowledge with others. I wish for you to keep smiling and loving everyone. I wish for you to keep your cool, control your temper and reason with your siblings. I wish for you to continue making friends wherever you go, smile at everyone and be you. I wish for you to enjoy everything around you and explore it and learn about it. I wish for you to keep bringing happiness to those around you, set the example, and stand up for what you know is right. I adore your smile and can't wait to see what this year brings for you!

Haden, Grant, Coleman, Delaney and Kahle you are loved more than you will ever know! I look forward to seeing what 2015 brings for our family, and for each one of you! You have been patient, kind, loving and adaptable children and I am so grateful for each of you. We have great things in store for us, it's going to be wonderful!

New Years Eve FUN!

It was a day filled with family, friends, laughter, love and tons of fun! The only thing that could have been better, would be to have Jeff home the whole day/night with us. But we'll take what we can get!

Our day started with us doing our morning chores (have to get the house ready to ring in the new year, haha). And also on a SNOW watch!!! The news had hyped it up like we were going to get a huge storm. And although we did get snowflakes, and it did kind of stick to our trampoline, it was definitely not the snow we thought it would be. The kids still loved it.

After lunch, Adri and her kiddos came over to play. We were so excited!!

 The kids played video games...
We played a game called 'Things' and laughed so hard! It was hilarious!
The kids made noise makers with paper plates and rice...

each one took a turn coming and making them, it was fun to watch!
There was lots of fun had on the trampoline (even though it was SO cold outside)!
 More video games :)
These two were so adorable!

It was such a fun way to spend our afternoon! Thanks Tippetts for coming to play!

Then that night we headed out to a family arcade (above an auto shop). We were invited by friends in our ward, the Vadney's, to join in with their family celebration. It was So much fun!!!! Thank you Vadney's!!!!

The arcade! Tons of pictures to follow :)

I almost died seeing the kids standing up playing. I was told that others were doing it, and then reassured that it was okay. So they had a blast!

Delaney LOVED the air hockey table and played anyone who would play with her!
Brother Vadney is one of Haden's Young Mens leaders, and so Haden hung out with them for a little while. They were sweet to let him :)

Ringing in the New Year with the New York countdown!
Me and my sweet girl, love her!!
Oh how the kids had fun with these horns!
My friend, Ashley, and I. We had a lot of fun :)

After we got the arcade cleaned up, we headed home to get ready to push for midnight! I thought I might loose some of the kids, after playing so hard at the arcade. But they all held on strong! We came home and got in jammies and played, watched shows and the kids could hardly wait!

We were SO excited when Jeff got home (and earlier than we thought!!). It was awesome!
 Happy New Year!!!!

Oh I am so grateful for these 6 people who bless my life each day! I am looking forward to another great year with each of their smiling faces (even when they aren't smiling). Bring on 2015!!

Got to ring in the new year with this hottie! I feel blessed to have him as my hubby and my best friend. We've been through ups and downs, but things are good and we are good!

Happy New Year!!!
