My Word for the Year 2014...

This year my word I picked to focus on throughout the whole year of 2014 is REAL.

I want to be real in every part of my life, from the good and the bad. I want to focus on those who are real to me...family and friends. I want to give myself real time to get healthier and feel better about myself. I want to make and stick with real changes in my life!

I thought about what word I wanted for this year for a long time, and every time I would real is what kept coming back to me. So real is what it is!

2013 - Looking back!

With 2013 coming to a close, I wanted to a year in review...
This year has been filled with growth, learning, blessings, sickness, surgeries, hardships but most of all love and family!

Kahle was a Sunbeam! Having all 5 in Primary is just crazy!

We defeated the big L word...never want to go through it again!

Haden competed in his last Pine Wood Derby race, and came in 8th out of our Stake!

Grant competed and had a blast!

Baseball!!!! Haden loved everything about it and can't wait to play again!

Coleman turned 7...and got bongos!

Kahle turned 4!

Grant turned 9!

Delaney graduated from Kindergarten :)

We finished the school year!

Jeff won the fish again!

Lots of cousin time...we loved it!!!

Got to see most of our out of town cousins!!

Haden had is tonsils and adenoids removed...recovered super fast too!

Delaney turned 6!

Started a new school year! 5th grade, 4th grade, 2nd grade, 1st grade and pre-school!

So grateful that no one was seriously injured in Jeff's accident!!
So grateful he is alive!

Traveled to San Francisco with my sisters!

Fantastic trip and so much fun!

Got to visit Sparty (aka Wilbur) twice this year!

Had a super fun Halloween!!

Thanksgiving was a blast! So much to be Thankful for!

Kahle FINALLY potty trained and is still doing awesome! We thought it was never going to happen!

Visited Santa!!!!

JDRF Diabetes walk with team diabErick!

The boys choir performance! So glad Papa Dan could be there.

Haden turned 11...say what?!!!

Herbie came back and had a month of fun!! We miss him!

So much family time, I loved every minute of it!!

Ear drum reconstruction...going great! Glad to have it behind us and look forward to him hearing better!

Had a very Merry Christmas!!

We have been so blessed this year! I am looking forward to another great year, with many more blessings, family time, memories and traditions!!

Walking to school today...and getting 'power ups' on our way (stepping on all the manhole, electric, etc covers they can)!

I love that Mrs. Young texts pictures to me during the day, when they are doing a fun project! She did when she taught Haden and Grant and is doing the same thing this year! Painting their red apple, bread and butter and making his apple turkey!

Still sleeping.... He was up from 3 to about 5 am, coughing, so glad he is getting some sleep!

Piggy back ride! Cole forgot his folder and lunch box...so Kahle and I ran home, grabbed them and brought them back. Getting out of the van to run them in, Kahle tells me he doesn't have shoes on. So a piggy back ride it was!

Decided to take him in, since it has been 5 days of lots of coughing....

Diagnosis....just a cold! We got something for his horrible cough and runny nose, and are to continue breathing treatments...but unless his symptoms change, it's just a cold.

Her feather for the class turkey...oh what a change it was to decorate something for school with a girl! So fun!!

Sometimes the desert can be beautiful...no filter needed!
I know some people disagree with me, but to me the desert ins't beautiful. I want green, I want season!

Scouting for food...delivering the yellow bags for Cub Scouts (even Cole and Kahle were helping)!

Breakfast in bed this morning...who says you can't have crackers, cinnamon bears (or Pringles for Jeff), string cheese, gogurt and marshmallow cookies??? Love these two little chefs!

With his new day shift at World Market (which we are excited and grateful for) we've gotten to enjoy having him home at nights more...but I miss my partner in crime during the day! Today I brought him lunch and got to see him for a bit. Love you Jeff!

Winter Break has started and I get 2 weeks with these kids...I am so so excited!!!!!

He fell asleep on my back...I think he's tired...poor boy is fighting a fever!

Between Haden, Cole, Kahle and Jeff...this is what our medicine routine is going to look like for the next 10 days...I know you're jealous ;)
