New Blog

Well I decided to start a blog so I can post my layouts (pages I scrap) on it! It is called Scrappin' Daisies, because I love scrapbooking and I love Daisies :) http://scrappindaisies.blogspot.com/ . If you ever want to get to it the link is to the left as well. I have a few pages on there, but in the next couple of days I will have more! We are waiting for Ramona's new store to open and then we can showcase her new kits, which I am loving! She even did one for me at my request, which I used for the background and header on my scrappin' blog (if you want to check it out). I absolutely LOVE this kit and had so much fun using it. Anyway, just wanted to tell you about my new blog, I am super excited about it!! And watch out, if I ever take your picture, you will probably find yourself on there from time to time :)

Just wanted to show you!

My friend Ramona who is an amazing designer and makes gorgeous kits for digital scrapbooking has been in this contest and designing some great kits! She did one for Grandpa's called Grandpa's Study and I scrapped two layouts so far with it, and I LOVE this kit! I just wanted to show you the layouts I did, because I LOVE these ones :)

The quote on this one says 'You have to do your own growing, no matter how tall your Grandfather way' ~ Abraham Lincoln.

More fun!

This is Cole's way of putting his hands on his hips :) He usually isn't smiling while he is doing it, and usually makes a grunting noise. I had to get a picture of it, because it is too cute!
My wonderful Daddy came to our ward today to sit with our kids while Jeff and I talked. We are grateful for Nate and Jenn for taking Cole into their nursery (their ward meets in the same building) and so my Dad only had to take care of the 3 instead of 4 kids. He then went over to Nate and Jenn's until we finished with church and then we were lucky enough to have him come over and stay for a while, eat dinner and play with the kids. They LOVED it!! I feel like our talks went pretty good! I of course read mine :) But that is how I do it, I write all my thoughts down and then read it, otherwise I would not be able to get my thoughts out and I wouldn't make any sense. If you want to read my talk let me know and I can e-mail it to you. Our topic was 'Coming to Know for Ourselves'. Jeff just writes a few notes down and goes from there, I don't know how he does that but he does! Here is a picture of Delaney walking with her Papa! Did I tell you she is taking steps here and there!!! Only a short time and she will be walking, so crazy!!
A Papa Dan and Delaney moment!
He is the best Papa there is! Seriously!! Here he is giving the boys horsey rides!
Thank you so much Dad! I really appreciate it!! We loved having you here and the boys are counting down the days until they get to see you again. I love you!!

The Joys of Teething!

We realized the other day Delaney is cutting her molars! She has 8 teeth total right now, 4 on top, 4 on bottom, but is cutting her 4 molars. So when it is all said and done she will have 12 teeth, lovely. The past few days she has just been really emotional and just not 'herself' and I could NOT figure out why! She would go from this adorable, sweet face.............

To this in a matter of seconds! And then after a bit back to her sweet, adorable face. Which really we only normally see this second face when she is offended, hurt or upset.
So it is not normal for her to be like this all of the time! When we figured out she was cutting her molars it made sense why she was so emotional! Her previous 8 teeth cut through without much change on Delaney's part, but I can only imagine how it feels to cut all 4 molars at the same time! I know when I had 2 wisdom teeth come through, it HURT and I mean really hurt! So 4 would have put me over the top and I am a grown up (well kind of, right?!) 2 are poking through a bit and the other two are right under the surface! So *crossing our fingers* they come through soon! For every one's sake :) And the clothes she is holding happen to be her PJ's. She loves carrying around clothes, it is too funny! If there are any clothes sitting out she grabs them! It makes her happy and that is all that matters :)

I also got her on video making her lovely noise :) She is not really crying and as soon as I pick her up she is happy, smiling and content. It is totally for attention!! The video is dark, sorry! But Jeff is holding her, he has done everything he could to try and make her happy. But the only thing she wants is ME!! I love being loved! Really I do, sometimes I just need a break!

Good Times!

Yesterday night my cute baby brother (who isn't a baby, he is 21) came over and sat at our house while we went to our friends Natali and Kevin's house, the kids were in bed, well for the most part :) I had told Haden and Grant what was going on, so that if they came down they knew why Mak was there. So after we left, they came down and had Mak come look at their spiderman fan and told him that they were waiting for us to leave. From what we were told that is all, so hopefully it really was!! Thank You Mak, we so appreciate you doing that for us!!!!! Natali and Kevin planned and set up this get together and it was with part of the group of friends we used to hang out with before we got married. It was so fun to see and catch up with them! We played games and just had a good time!! Thanks so much for setting that up!! And thanks to all those who made it, it was so good to see all of you!!

I painted Delaney's toe nails! I think they look SO cute!! It makes me smile and giggle every time I see them. The boys love them, and are constantly looking at them. Cole will grab her feet and point to her toes and say 'Cute'. He is a bit obsessed with them, but how can you not be?!
Tonight's dessert was fudgesicles, compliments of Daddy! And look Delaney even got one :) This picture was taken only minutes after she got it.
Here is Cole! I am sure you can imagine where these pictures are going :)
Only getting better! She LOVED it (if you couldn't tell, I thought I would let you know)! Here is Cole! Not only did he eat the fudgesicle, he thought he would try it out on his belly! As he smeared it all over his belly he just kept saying 'sash' (wash). And then would yell, 'mess'. Ya think?!!

Here is Delaney! She looks totally content, doesn't she?!

While I was washing up Cole, Delaney decided to top her big brother. Let me tell you she definitely did! Just look at her! Here is a picture of her clapping for herself! Man are we in trouble, lol!!
Look how proud she is! She totally has that mischievous look in her eyes, looks a bit like Cole does most of the time :)

We did get them cleaned up! The funniest thing is Haden and Grant thought it was so funny, but didn't want to get THAT messy. So they smeared a little on their legs and arms just to be messy to. Crazy kids, gotta love 'em!!

Tomorrow Jeff starts working at a job site, which is exciting! He has been assigned to the Encore, which is the addition to the Wynn Hotel. He is scheduled for 4-10 hour days, and so he has Fridays off (I mean as long as he is at the job, or some of their other jobs with that schedule). Which is nice if we need to have a Friday off we can. But it also gives him a day he can work overtime, which if they have it he plans on doing what he can. He is excited to get in there and learn new things!!

Oh and Lucky us, we get to talk next Sunday in Sacrament meeting. Making up for the Sunday we all got sick. Not too excited, but I know it will be okay :) So cross your fingers we don't get sick or make fools of ourselves up there!!

Memory Game :0)

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Have fun!!!

Picture time :)

Well we went out and took our own family pictures :) I think that we had a few good ones, especially considering it was HOT, the kids did GREAT!! Here are two of our family pictures that I think turned out (you can click on them, as well as the other pictures, to make them larger).

Here is the kiddos! They are so stinkin' cute!!!
The boys!
The girls (how fun that I actually get to have a girls picture)
I couldn't decide which one I liked better :)
Haden was being silly! But this picture actually turned out!
Grant was NOT happy to have his picture taken, but he eventually cooperated! So cute!!
Cole was being Cole, and this was the best we got :) What can you expect from a 2 year old with TONS of energy?!!
Isn't she so pretty?! Delaney did awesome for being so little! She was loving to crawl in the grass!

We will be getting copies of our family picture to all the Grandparents, and if anyone else wants them just let me know.

Time to Adjust!

Jeff started his job on Monday! This week has just been training and things to get them ready for the job site this coming Monday. He is excited to learn new things and get started! This new job has come with many adjustments, not only for Jeff but for the rest of us as well. For Jeff, because this is a labor intense job (from what it sounds like) and he has had desk jobs since I have known him, so at least 7 years! It is an adjustment for me because I no longer have help throughout the day and it is all me! You don't realize how much you really have depended on someone until they are gone! For the kids, they miss their Daddy! And it shows, BIG TIME! Monday wasn't so bad, but come Tuesday and it hit the kids that Daddy wasn't home all day. They have become SUPER CLINGY and MAJORLY WHINEY! I am trying to be patient with them, because I know I am still adjusting, so I am sure they are too! But it isn't always easy, when Grant and Haden are beating on each other constantly! They have had to take 'time outs' more often not only for hitting, but to remember how to act or not to act. Or when Cole and Delaney are BOTH wanting to sit on my lap but NOT wanting the other there. I have tried to make it game with them, and it works for a bit and then they remember they didn't want that one sitting there as well! And Delaney has started this new whining, yelling noise that is like nails on a chalkboard! It is all for attention, and she is fine as soon as I give it to her. I mean I guess when you are the youngest of 4, you have to get it somehow, right?! I really need to get it on video so you can hear it, because I can't even possible explain it! I don't know where it came from, but I am SO ready for it to leave! But then when I do give her the attention, or pick her up, she will hug me and pats my arm (like I have done a good job) and it makes you forget that noise, at least until you hear it again!! Oh and Delaney has decided she only wants one nap, I don't know if this is just a phase, we will have to see! SO yeah, we are excited for Jeff's job, and are ADJUSTING!

Sweet Camille

I have been following this families blog, they had a little girl named Camille, pass away after a drowning accident. The Mom, Stephanie, updates the blog regularly and she is an amazing writer. She opens up with how they are doing and what they are going through. It is truly an inspirational blog to read, but be prepared to shed a few (or many) tears. You can check out there blog at http://adailyscoop.blogspot.com/ . The latest post was one about a lullaby that one of the Brother-In-Laws wrote and they have a video with pictures of Camille, and Jonathan and Stephanie are singing the lullaby. I was bawling as I can't imagine ever having to go through something like that. Hug your little ones and say a prayer for this amazing family!

I'm SO excited!!

Well my dear friend, Ramona, has opened a store for her digital scrapbooking designs, which in itself is SUPER exciting! But she has asked me to be a part of her 'creative team' which allows me to play and scrap with her AMAZING kits, as well as post them around in different scrapbooking galleries to help get the word out! If you are into digital scrapbooking at all, you NEED to check out her store Brownie Scraps. You can also see pages that were done by her creative team, me and other ladies, on her blog. I have some pages on the blog, I was also given the chance to do the header and change the background, so let me know what you think :)

10 Things I learned while on vacation :)

1. Bring Spray 'n Wash, because Cole and Delaney will get filthy. And it takes more time to try and get the stains out after they have set in.

2. That wiping sand off of bums while changing a diaper is not an easy task!

3. Make sure everyone is sun screened, even if it is overcast! Jeff got fried, I got some not so fun burns, the kids lucked out for the most part, thank heavens!

4. Always make sure to have snacks on your, no matter where you are!

5. Somethings take longer than expected, going along with 5, make sure you are prepared!

6. Double check your air mattresses BEFORE you leave! Sleeping on air mattresses that deflate half way through the night it NOT fun! We had two, and both of them had holes in them, ugh!! Thanks to my parents for bringing extra foam pads, it helped so much!!

7. Towels come in handy when you need and want to shower :) Thanks to Adri and Trent for picking some up and sharing with us, it was a lifesaver!!! Same as Shampoo and Conditioner! Thanks to everyone who shared, Adri and Trent, my Mom and Mak!!

8. That Jeff is super patient with me! Through my moods and everything!!

9. Our kids are serious troopers and put up with hardly any naps and just had fun!!

10. That I LOVE family reunions and I am already excited for next year!! I am SO glad that we have started this!!!

It's Time To Celebrate..........

Jeff got a call from the Elevator's Union today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He goes in for a drug test tomorrow and then Monday he starts orientation. At first I wasn't sure he was serious, he was in shock I think. I cried, I was so excited!!!!!! Truly a blessing, one we knew was coming, and we are so very grateful and thrilled for it! I will miss having him home, but it will be nice having an actual check come in and not the little bit of money from unemployment (although that has helped a TON, and I am grateful for every bit we have received). We have received help from family and we appreciate that more than you will ever know. You have blessed us and we are grateful for every bit you have helped us out (you know who you are). We get to jump back on the job wagon :) Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers, we SO appreciate them!!!!

Family Reunion...............

We just got back from our family reunion, it was SO much fun!!!! We got to the camp site Wednesday morning, we set up our tent and got everything situated. Down from the camping area was a park and so we took the kids that were there and played on the playground for a while. Then we went back and got ready to go to the beach, and headed out. We spent a couple hours playing in the water and sand, and the kids LOVED it!!! Cole was so excited to be there and would walk around with his arms in the air screaming and being SO VERY excited. I think if he could express his feelings he would have been screaming"I LOVE THE BEACH!!!" The next morning, we went back to the beach and spent the whole day there. We did a fun game, put on by Adri and Trent, for the Dad's and kids. Since there were extra kids my Dad and brother Mak stepped in to help out. Everyone had a good time!! We got back and were grateful for the showers at the campsite! The following morning, 4th of July, we headed to the San Diego Zoo!! We got to see pretty much everything there, and just had lots of fun! We were quite a group, 23 people total including kids and adults. And for the most part we all were together throughout the whole park! We were going to go watch fireworks but we were all SO tired and most the kids (and some adults) crashed either on the way home from the zoo or as soon as we got back to camp. We got to see fireworks as we were driving home, the kids didn't because they feel asleep as soon as we took off. But all in all it was such a fun day!! That night my brother Nate and his wife Jenn had to head home, they were going to another reunion but had been battling with 3 of the 4 kids dealing with the flu bug and just couldn't make it to the other reunion. We missed them, and it was weird waking up the next morning with 6 less people! Thanks for sticking it out so long and through so much sickness!!!! On Saturday we just relaxed in the morning and played with the kids. Then after lunch we head back to the beach and spent the afternoon into the evening there. It was just more fun to add to our days there! This morning we packed up and headed home and as much fun as we had it is always nice to come home! THANK YOU DANA AND TYLER FOR PLANNING THIS!!! It was so good to see them and their adorable kids and watch the cousins all interact together! Next year is Jeff and my turn to plan it, so we better start thinking :) I have pictures *Warning there are LOTS* but I hope you enjoy them!!

Cousins=Fun!

Jeff's sister, Kelly, and her daughter Brier came into town for the week. Since we are going out of town tomorrow, we made sure to spend as much time yesterday and today with them (well Jeff and the kids went over this morning, and I stayed home and did laundry and started the packing), but then they came over to our house and played for a while longer. It is always fun to watch the kids with their cousins! The cousins have had a blast. We have loved seeing you guys and can't wait until we can see you again!!! Here are some pictures Jeff and I took of the kids.......
Cousin=Fun

We are leaving tomorrow morning :) I am looking forward to camping, going to the San Diego Zoo and the BEACH!!!! You won't hear from us until Sunday or Monday, so until then I hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July!
